1. God Will Give You Justice!
Every
time we are wronged by another, whether it was accidental or intentional, the
LORD rights the wrong, or puts right, the wrong done to us. That is executing
righteousness. While at times justice may seem delayed, it is inevitable. God
puts things right, and brings about justice for all who are oppressed. Justice
is what is proper or fitting for the wrong that was done. While justice is not
always seen in our courts, we can be sure that God will put right, and bring
about what is proper or fitting for the wrong that was done--both to us and for
the one who committed the wrong.
Featuring
my plan for memorizing 1 Peter 1 as well as a dose of inspiration to get you
started. J If you missed this challenge and
would like to do it with some of your friends at church or family members this
post will tell you all that you need to get you started.
Note: Do Not Depart
will be announcing the next Bible Memory Challenge Wednesday, January 2, 2013,
so pray about memorizing with all of us. We hope you’ll join us!
Because Jesus has met out greatest need, of
salvation, we can trust Him to take care of the rest of our needs--however
great they may be.
Whether
my day is one of the best days of my life, or one of the worst, when I consider
all that Jesus has done for me, all that He is doing, and all He will do, I
have great reason to rejoice—regardless of my circumstances. I can burst with
praise to God each and every day if my focus is on His faithfulness and
goodness in my life, rather than on the problems of my day.
Whether
you have already memorized a passage, are memorizing a passage now, or are
gearing up for your next memory project: here are four simple ways to make
learning and recalling your verses even easier.
Sometimes
it seems like peace will only come after we have been delivered from a trial.
But the truth is we don’t have to wait for a trial to pass before we experience
peace. We can enjoy perfect peace, right
now, regardless of our circumstances.
For the
longest time I was content memorizing a verse here or there, with no real goals
and no real drive to hide more of His Word in my heart. I guess I figured if I
wanted to know what a verse said, I could just look it up in my Bible. But over
the last year or so the Lord has lit a fire in me to move past a familiarity of
His Word to actually knowing what the Bible says by memorizing it.
Considering all the time and
diligence it takes to successfully memorize a passage, I asked myself what
drives me to memorize Scripture? Why do I have an insatiable desire to hide as
much of God’s Word in my heart as I can while I'm on this side of heaven?
Here is why I love memorizing
Scripture and can’t imagine my life without it.
The
Bible memory challenge I led this summer, here I blog verse by verse through
Psalm 103 and offer tips on how to make memorizing it even easier. This post
features my plan for memorizing Psalm 103 as well as a dose of motivation to
get you started. J
If you missed this challenge and would like to do it with some of your friends
at church or family members this post will tell you all that you need to get
you started. Happy memorizing!
When I
first heard of people who had memorized complete books of the Bible, like Janet
Pope, Tom
Meyer and Ryan
Ferguson, I was in awe and believed, “Wow! That is amazing! I could never
do that!” But as the Lord has spurred me on to memorize various chapters of the
Bible like Isaiah 53, Psalm 1, Psalm 103, 1 Peter 1, etc. I am now convinced that memorizing
Scripture does not require a good memory. The key to success is much easier than you think.
When we
trust God without reservation, there is no limit to the amazing blessings God
can pour out in our life.
